FAQ
What does a bookkeeper actually do?
A bookkeeper keeps your financial records accurate and up to date. This includes tracking income and expenses, reconciling bank accounts, managing invoices and receipts, and preparing reports to help you understand your business's financial health.
Do you work with specific accounting software?
Yes! I work with a range of cloud-based accounting software including Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks Online. If you already have a preferred platform, I’m happy to work with it.
Do you offer payroll services?
Yes, I provide Single Touch Payroll (STP)-compliant payroll services, including set-up, superannuation management, and lodgement. I make sure your employees are paid correctly and on time.
Is my financial data secure?
Yes. I use secure, cloud-based systems with multi-factor authentication and encryption.
Your privacy and data security are always a top priority.
How is bookkeeping different from accounting?
Bookkeeping focuses on the day-to-day recording and organizing of financial data.
Accounting is more about interpreting that data to help with financial planning and tax obligations. I often work closely with your accountant to make tax time smooth and stress-free.
Can I hire you if my books are a mess or behind?
Absolutely. I offer catch-up bookkeeping services to get you back on track. There’s no judgement, just practical help. Many of my clients started from the same place.
How often do you update my books?
This depends on your needs. Some clients prefer weekly or fortnightly updates, while others are happy with monthly reporting. We’ll agree on a schedule that suits your business.
Do you work with businesses outside your local area?
Yes! I work with businesses Australia wide thanks to cloud-based systems. Everything can be done remotely in a quick and secure way.
